My take on: Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Resignation

Governor Sarah Palin

Whether Sarah Palin, by stepping down from her position as Governor of Alaska before the end of her term, did the right thing for her political career, or whether it will hurt her chances to run for President in 2012 cannot be foretold by anyone. However, she did do the right thing for the people of Alaska. She hasn't been able to do her job due to many ridiculous claims of ethics violations, and she is having to use her own money and the money of the taxpayers to deal with them. (So far she has spent about $1 million of her own money to defend herself...and all of the lawsuits have been dropped.) With her now being out of the destructive spotlight (to an extent) of the liberal media, she will be able to work more effectively for the people of her state and this country, saving her own and the taxpayers' money because her enemies won't be keeping her busy with frivolous lawsuits all the time. She shouldn't be labeled as a quitter. Besides, nobody held it against Obama when he took his paycheck for Senator while being on the campaign trail for over a year...
